I work as a project manager for a variety of clients. I have two general philosophies of project management - the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now. In other words, do what you can as soon as possible and don't relax because you have plenty of time. The second is, it takes a darn good meeting to beat no meeting at all. If email and phone calls will get the job done, don't waste a group of people's time to do the same thing, often with follow up emails and phone calls to boot.
I'm currently working with the Ontario International Airport in this area. I work with engineering, architecture, planning, and etc to get projects lined up, planned and executed.
Also for the Ontario International Airport, I work with them at their facilities and act as staff extension in many areas, including, but not limited to, liason with airlines, lease and legal agreement creation and execution, operations, preparing for RFQ/RFP/RFB, managing a variety of tasks and projects, and the list goes on.
